For night training we use Cessna or Piper single-engine aircraft at the airport in Roudnicad Labem, which is one of the few grass airports in the country with runway lightning and approved for night flying. As part of the training for the night qualification we also fly to controlled airports such as Prague Vodochody, Brno, or Karlovy Vary.
• Private Pilot License (PPL)
• Minimum Class 2 Medical Certificate
The Night Flying Course teaches the pilot to fly safely under visual meteorological conditions at night.
Your flight time will be at least five hours at night including three hours of dual training, a navigation flight of at least one hour, and five take-offs plus five full-stop landings with the student as the sole occupant of the aircraft.
There is no skills test or ground examination requirement for the Night Qualification. After the requisite flight time and other requirements have been met, your instructor will deliver the necessary paperwork with which you may apply for the Night Qualification from the Civil Aviation Authority.
